Hello everyone,

Yesterday was a beautiful day, first of all, it was Sinterklaas in the Netherlands (check wikipedia for more info: here ), that's about the best holiday out here (maybe except for christmas), and everyone is in this great mood :D. So that was cool! But also another reason why yesterday was a great day: the Prince Caspian trailer was released!!!!!!!!!!!! (You can view it on Narniafans.)

I must say that i am very happy about this, and definately excited for the upcoming movie. And also very relieved because the trailer did look awesome. The four pevensies look great again (my, Georgie has grown lots!), and i even didn't dislike William this time :p. Anyway, the scenes are very promising, and i'm definately looking forward to the duel between Peter and Miraz (and especially the interaction between Edmund and Peter at the moment, because that is the second-best part of the book!). The part i'm looking forward to the most is the 'almost waking of the trees', you know: when Lucy tries to talk to them, but they don't wake just yet. And then she can see Aslan, but the others can't, and they walk to Aslan's how, based on what Lucy is saying. That will be awesome!! (hopefully)

Just finished my test week, i only had 3 :D. First math, it went really well (teacher said i got somewhere around the 8, so that's really good, and i'm really happy!), then i had chemistry, that went horrible (fortunately i expected that, and everyone thought it was horrible, so...), and today i had Dutch, and i think it went okay.

But it's over now :D.

Then 24: i don't know if you guys/girls know the show, but it is awesome! It's about this federal agent, called Jack Bauer, and he is in all kind of trouble all the time (mainly fighting terrorists, but whatever). It's either the best or the second best (after LOST) show on television.
But anyway, the first 6 seasons are out on DVD, i have season 1-4, and i just finished watching season 3. There are these two great characters, Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler, and they rocked even more this season :D. (SPOILERS, DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW: everyone who watched further seasons know that both Tony and Michelle die in season 5 (actually, the episode of Tony dieing was i think the first 24 episode i ever saw, and i was like: 'Why's Jack crying so bad, it was just a random guy', but later on i was like: 'IT'S TONY, NOOOOOOO'), but Tony wasn't dead, he comes back in season 7, now as the 'bad guy'. I don't think it will be possible for Tony being to bad guy, he was like the constant good guy, even more good than Jack. He couldn't even kill the guy who killed his wife, he just couldn't do it. That's the kind of guy Tony is, and now what? He's a terrorist, i will not believe it, never!)

What do you mean, fangirlism? I'm still not calling myself a tonynite, right? :p And besides, i like the character of Michelle (his wife) too much.

The forum is growing (TDL i'm talking about this time), it's really funny to see, as soon as the trailer came out lots of 'old people' popped in for a while, and lots of new members joined. I really like it. The Narniahype is getting hold of me again, i can't believe i wasn't enthousiastic for the movie before, i really am now!!!! Only about 6 months left... *sigh*

And something funny too (well, for me, not for the person himself), the admin on my school forum accidentally banned himself, and can't get himself un-banned right now... ROFL, i really can't help it and feel bad about it, but it is so funny *lol*.

Hello there,

I feel so ashamed, i haven't posted here in so long! My apoligies for that. *Ashamed*

So how have you all been? I've been great and not so good. School started again, it's still quite boring, but i must say i was really happy to see everyone from school again! So, i think i wouldn't want to miss it. This is my final year, in just a bit more than half a year i will be graduated, so that's great:D. After that i think i'm going to university, studying 'International relations and international organisations'. The main subjects there involve politics (love it), but besides that you also get lots of economics (love that too), law (have no idea) and history (could it be any better?). And that's not everything: you also have to do for one of your two minors a foreign language (English, Spanish, French or German), and that's just awesome:D. I love learning a language, and i especially love English, so i guess that'll be my choice. Then you have one minor left, which you can choose out of basically everything at the whole university. I'm going to Groningen (=city where the university is) on Friday, so i'll tell you what i think of it. *excited :D*

Besides that: we moved. We have lived in our new house for almost 3 months now. It's great, though it isn't completely 'home' yet. It will be though. Unfortunately we lost our cat during the move. She was here one day, and was gone the other. It's no fun, but those things happen.

I got a job:D I work at a local candy store, i've worked there two times so far, and i'm going again next saturday.

I recently found some hilarious conversations between me and IOWW, while i wasn't even there. I was on a holiday (constantly thinking about WHY i would want to kill Elisabeth if i had seen Pirates 2 (long time ago, i know)), and she wrote this.

How about:

Welcome a board, we are glad that you have decided to travel with air Lieke from computer to blogger, please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for the flight.

First item today: EOJD!
As you might have read in my previous post: the EOJD was coming up. Now it's over, and it was great! The preachers-kind-of-guys talked about how God wanted us to 'Dream bigger' than we do now. That He has something far greater in mind than we have, and that He wants to share His dream with us. It was very nice. Then there were the artists. Chris Tomlin was, as expected, great! I like his music, it's pretty well-known here and not too hard to sing along. Group1Crew was not great, but not bad either. I actually kinda liked the music itself, but the music was too loud, i actually walked out a moment to give my ears some rest (HEADACHE, HEADACHE, i'm sure the duffers are happy). Stellar Kart was great too, but i'm into such kind of music. I liked it, though it was almost impossible to sing along (too fast).
I wanted to buy a 'Dream Bigger' T-shirt, but they were sold out when i got there... :(
But anyway: it was great.

Second item: me and RF's evilness. Just to explain for the people who don't know it. Once upon a time there were four people in the Dramatic Entrance thread on the NF forum. There names be RF, GKoN, toj and Lieke. They happened to be mother (RF), Father (GKoN) and daugthers (toj and Lieke). The Father was a (noble??:p) knight, but the mother was evil. Then there were the two daughters, toj, who was just like her father and Lieke, who is also evil.
Here it is: thé question of all questions: which smil... wait... wrong!! THAT WAS NOT THÉ QUESTION!!!!!!!
Again: Who is more evil, me or RF.

Now, of course you all know that i am way more evil than RF is, but for some reason she is still in denial. So if you would all post a comment that i am more evil, send her a pm that i am more evil or post in the non-mod thread, that'd be great! *can't wait to see her face when she reads this* I'm so evil, mhuahahahahahaha:D

Btw, GKoN is not evil, he is probably ducttaped to some train, trying to calm RF with a chocolate bar, while toj left... :( That reminds me, i still have to ask him if i can borrow his Gandalf banner... :D

Third item: my arm. So it was going worse a while and then my miracle-mom decided to give massage one more try, and it worked fantasticly!!! It's like... almost gone now :eek: (which was kinda stupid because i just said goodbey against the people from TDL and i didn't leave, i hate it when people say they leave and don't... it's so stupid *embarresed*). But then again: YAY :D I actually have great hope that it will go away very soon, completely!!! YAYAYAYAYAY

Now i have to go, i have test week and have to study a lot... And i may start to play piano in a choir, so that's great! More about that later.

Finally an update (i'm ashamed, it's been almost a month), but it's here (Everyone: *yayayayay*).

So i have a new hobby, it's called 'finding-english-words-that-are-difficult', i've got one already:

I've seen Pirates 3, it was great. Will gets better every movie (and no, i'm NOT an Orlando Bloom fan... blegh, fangirlism... *runs for the nites:D*) Jack was great as always, and Elisabeth was quite nice too :D Barbosa was thé best! Well, it was just great (oh, and Gibbs was cool too).

It's almost EOJD here, a christian festival like thing, and there are going to be some nice bands/singers: Stellar Kart (kinda like Relient K, which means it's GREAT), Group1Crew, have no idea how they are, and Chris Tomlin, he is good too. Some Dutch artists too, and some preacher like guys who are going to tell us something about the theme of the day: 'Dream bigger', i can't wait :D.

You know, i just relised two things:
1. i don't know how to spell relized...
2. large parts of my blog is inside-joke like *grin*, really it is, i'm sure there are only a few people who read this, who actually understand it all... if they excist at all *grin*:D

Which reminds me: i have to ask GKoN if i can borrow his 'Fake-beard' banner :D

In English class today we were trying to make as many words out of 'embarassment' as we could, we arrived at 72 i think, but we could have made it to 100 easily, we just had to put an 's' after lots of words:D. I say: give it a try

Chapter one: Larry

One upon a time there was an orange olive named Larry. He loved to eat grapefruits, cook and kill butterflies. He was a very nasty olive. One day he was chasing a butterfly called Dernhelm, who was chasing a hungry-for-chocolate-RF and he saw how RF got a piece of chocolate from GKoN. She screamed WOOT and he suddenly remembered an old poem his grandmother used to tell him.

Where WO and OT meet,

Doubt not, Larry
To find all things good
Go to the utter east.

So Larry decided to search for all things good, and he went east. Not knowing that the land of Elsewhere was in the east (it was replaced by the evil Olorin) and that there was an evil creature guarding the passage to it.

Anyway, he went on traveling, and he came to a strange tunnel, decided to go in, and walked through... almost, because just before he was at the end he heard a strange noise...

I have the new Relient K cd 'Five score and seven years ago' and it's GREAT! I think i memorised about 3/4 part of the CD if not more, and i'm trying to play 'Deathbed' on the piano, and i can do a great part of it already. I'm looking for the sheet music of 'Deathbed' so if anyone has an idea about where to find it...?

I've seen the complete second season of LOST and the first two episodes of the third season, it's thé best show i've ever seen! It's so exiting, me, my two sisters and my almost-brother-in-law are watching it together, and we just can't wait 'till the DVD's of season 3 come out here in The Netherlands. I love Desmond, but Sawyer is still my favorite, he and Kate are love :D Anyone else watches it?

Hello there,

Finally: an update! For people (and other creatures) that have read my blog before and have been dying for an update: i am terribly sorry. Just a short explanation: i suffered from RSI, which means that if i get on the computer my arm starts to hurt pretty bad, and it has been so bad that i couldn't even lift my school bag. Fortunately: it is much better now, and i'm allowed to go on the computer for some time a day... YEAH! :D

Good things about being back:
1. i can update my blog
2. i can be on NarniaFans again
3. i can spend my time without a serious purpose :D

Bad things about being back:"
1. ....
2. ........
3. ............ oh yeah: if i don't watch out, RSI is going to be back soon :(

But well: besides all that i've been doing pretty good, actually. A lot of the stress is gone, we are just before another test week again, and i'm studying already, but i think it's going to work out. Last testweek was even worse than the one you all knew about, but this time it's going to work: i'm sure :D

I got my scooter driver's licence (YAY) which means that i can now go to school a bit faster, although i don't use it much yet.

We got the keys to our new house, and i've decided to make my new room blue and green :D. IT'S GREAT!

THE SUN SHINES!!!!!!! I'm one of those people whose mood changes very much when the sun shines (i should get a mood ring, no wait, i have one)! AND IT SHINES!!! YAY!!!! I love it!

We have season 2 of LOST, and LOST is the best serie i've ever seen! Also i have the first season of 24 on DVD, and a friend of mine has the first two seasons of The A-Team (i love it when a plan comes together) and she told me i could borrow them! YAY:D Life is good!

We have this thing in our church called 'Gezelligheid Gezocht', which is a thing for people who are feeling lonely and who want to have a nice meal and coffee and stuff with each other. This saturday the first gathering will be held, and we (as the team in charge of the organisation) are very nervous, prayers would be appreciated.

Also this saturday i'm going to a university to get some information about a study that i might want to follow there. It is a study about politics, and i think it would be perfect for me. I hope that it's as good as i think it is!!! :D

Now something sad: i saw that someone on the NF forum (to people who know him: HB) left, or kinda left, and that's not good, a very big loss to the duffers! I'm planning to travel to Canada and tell him to get back on, but my parents won't let me, grrr (:p).

Relient K has a new album: 5 score and 7 years ago! It's cool! I haven't heard it entirely, but so far it sounds great! I lOvE rElIeNt K (and i just broke one of the Duffer commandments by typing like that :D:p)

Anyway, i have to stop like... now, and this time i won't wait so long to update *embarresed*

Hello there,

I hope that you all (well, the very few people who read this... probably no one... maybe i should pay people to read it :p ) decided to read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and its sequels. But for now i will talk to you about Duffering *grin*.

What is duffering.

One of them duffers (WHB) explanes it like this:
We are starting to hand out the title duffer to any person who posts more than 3 times a day (bit like high grades in GCSE examinations!). This is NOT duffering. True duffering cannot be expressed. It is an innate, unteachable, unlearnable skill that I envy those who have it.

Another description of Duffers is this (in the Duffer FAQ, by HB):

Q: What is a Duffer?

A: A Duffer is a term used in the narniafans forums. It originated through the Land of Duffers, where the funny members would post there and (basically) spam. Duffer is used to describe members who are especially funny and are able to light up the member's day (or at least, I hope so.)

I think this explains it pretty good: Duffers are people who are funny, but who don't have to spam to be funny. They can post things that will make you laugh 2 years later (i know that from experience *grin*).

What are examples of GREAT duffering:

GC (GrayCloak): Granted - you, Black and Holyboy are released onto the streets where you attack people at random and steal chewing gum off the bottom of shoes. After a while of wandering you come across a shiny trash can and decide that it will be your new god, and you are its prophet charged with coversion. You spend the rest of your life in devotion to the trash can...

I wish it was night so I could go to hockey....

Smog: Granted. However, the Brotherhood of the Can only come at night. You are seen as an infidel and a unbeliever. We sacrifice you to our new god, the trash can...

I wish that the trash can was shinnier...

WHB: Granted, but when the sun shines on it blinds you, and you lose your collection of chewing gum! After scrambling around for what seems like hours you finally bump into a large object that turns out to be Holyboy, who has also been blinded and is trying to find his chewing gum. (Black Cloak fell down a drain in the confusion). The two of you hatch a plan to reclaim your beloved trash can, which has been over taken by the power of the Hog Master. Unfortunately, neither of you are any good at maths, and the catapult you created back fires and crushes you both under sojourner (who you unwittinly mistook for catapult ammo in your blindness)

I wish I could make this darned trash can dissappear

HB: Granted. Smog, BC, and I all start worshipping that butter knife mentioned a couple of posts back. We are in awe in how the butter knife can't cut through kleenex, and we start being like the knife, being one with the knife...and then a mob is formed! the mob chases you through the city, passing by the one-eyed purple people eater. You keep running...and running...and you almost reach saftey...all you have to do is tickle the yellow rino...and then a duck wakes you up, and you realize the trash can is still there, and it was all a dream...or was it? DUM DUM DUM!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I was a butterfly...because no one suspects the butterfly!

WHB: Granted, but unfortunately that is just conspiracy and in actual fact EVERYONE suspects the butterfly! You are chased down by the plice for inciting mobs to fomr in each town you pass through and forcing them to chase after innocent defencelss people like me. As punishment, they melt the butterknife down in front of your face. You're eaten by the yellow rhino for wearing a paisley jumper.

Personally i think this is a great example of good duffering *grins again*.

What is the Golden Age?

Aahhh, the golden age *thinks about good ol' times*... the age where the duffers ruled the forum, the age of the old members and great duffers (unfortunately many old duffers left), the days of "Glorious Food 1", "Glorious Food 2", "Corrupt a Wish", "Cheese Whiz" and much more. The days where all the Duffer objects were invented. Short: Thé days of the Duffers. I think that it was from about March 2005 untill November 2005. The current Duffers are still trying to get it back, unfortunately they have to fight against the very powerfull Skandar and William nites :p (just kidding, the nites are nice people too ;) ).

What are you talking about? Duffer objects?
In the golden age, many duffer things were invented. For example:

-Fred the Box: he is a house, and a box, and HB's best friend. He was killed many times (most of them by BC) and always managed to stay on the forum, i say he is the most known duffer thing... except The Can.

-Ben the Egg: an Egg, and a very nice one too, his whole family got killed, and he was the only one to escape. (As Dernhelm explains the sad story of Ben's life:
All right. Ben, you see, was the family name. Every boy in the family was named Ben, and every girl, Bena. One day the clan was attacked – only our Ben escaped. All the rest were taken and made into a dish that was later named "Eggs Benadict". Never mention that name to an egg, for it was the greatest tradgedy of their kind.)

-Stan the Cookie: Stan is my personal favorite. He is an elephant, and he is confused... he is a confused elephant, made up by borntofly. He is GREAT (and confused).

-Cheese: i can hear you think it: "Cheese? Dufferish?" yes, it certainly is, i think that there are at least 4 threads/topics made with the subject cheese, it's strange, but fun.

You probably should have been there, anyway: the Cheese threads are i think almost the sillyest threads on the whole forum...:D

-The Trash Can: the part from corrupt a wish above is the creation of the Trash Can. The Trash Can is the great thing for all duffers, since Smog, BC and HB started worshipping it it has become the most known (and best probably) duffer thing.

The Order of the Can:

Later, when most of the duffers left, a thread/topic was made to bring the duffers back. It was called: "The order of the Can", the highest goal in the life of a duffer is to get into that order. First there is the Can Clan, after that the Brotherhood of the Can, and then the Knights of the Order of the Can. What they do: worshipping the Trash Can, bumping old threads/topics, talking about things that don't make any sense, and much more...

When do you know that you are a duffer?

That is a question that i cannot answer. Personally i don't know whether i am one or not, and i think there are some more people who don't know... then you have some who think they are, but aren't... I guess that how you find out is: Start duffering, read the "required reading" in this thread/topic. Duffer away and get into the order of the can... But besides that: i cannot give you any advise, you have to find your own stile of duffering, and it might take a while, but remember: true duffering never lies. You will know it soon enough... and when you don't: don't worry, take your time, you will come there.

Are you one of the duffers of old times?

Nope. I am a member for a long time, but i spend my time with reading and trying to understand it all and not with duffering.

Then how can you tell us all this if you aren't a duffer?

Because i'm evil and i like to tell you things that i don't know anything about *evil laugh*

Hello there,

I'm sorry i didn't keep this up for the last... what? few weeks? I wasn't feeling too good, and i just couldn't find time and courage to post here. This friday and next week i have test week at school, and prayers would really be appreciated! I'm really nervous, and i just hope things will go well! (the first one went pretty good :D ).

For those of you who have seen The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as a movie, it is nice. For those of you who have read the books, fall on the floor and laugh :D!!!! I saw the movie some time ago, and i thought it was pretty funny, but not extremely, but now i've read the books (well, only parts, but i'm still reading) and it's hilarious!!! (Not the best book on earth, i mean, there is still the Chronicles of Narnia and Lord of the Rings, but these books are GREAT!)

I got some great quotes out of them:

One thing Hitchhikers always have with them is a towel, this is why:

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxa has a few things to say on the subject of towels.
A towels, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. What the strang will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through and still know where his towel is is clearly a man to be reckoned with.
Hence a phrase which has passed into hitchhiking slang, as in 'Hey, you sass that hoopy Ford Prefect? There's a frood who really know where his towel is'. (Sass: know, be aware of, meet; Hoopy: really together guy; Frood: really amazingly together guy).

Another great part, about the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation (some organization):

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy defines the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as 'a bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes', with a footnote to the effect that the editors would welcome applications from anyone interested in taking over the post of robotic correspondent.
Curiously enough, an edition of The Encyclopaedia Galactica that had the good fortune to fall through a time warp from a thousand years in the future defined the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as 'a bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came'.

Don't you love it :D.

I can highly recommend the book "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" to you, as well as its sequels: "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe", "Life, Universe and Everything", "So long and thanks for all the Fish" and "Mostly Harmless".

Hello there,

So how have you all been this week? I've been good :D. Playing in church went pretty well, not great, but definitely not bad either. The theme of that day was "Online with God" and it made you think about how much we were doing other stuff like being on the internet, talking to friends etc. and how little time we spend with God, while He should be the most important person in our lives. Well, it made me think about it.

I also read the first part of the book "The Dream Giver" written by Bruce Wilkinson. I don't know if you've read it, but if you haven't, i highly recommend it. IT'S A GREAT BOOK! (For the Dutch people that read this, in Dutch the title is "De Droomgever", surprise ha :p).

I'm currently downloading all episodes of NarniaFansCast with iTunes. I just realized i haven't even heard all of them, so i decided to download every episode. It took me a while to figure out how, but it's working:D.

Okay, as Dernhelm said on her xanga, the duffering is going pretty bad, it seems that now almost everyone lost their inner Duffer. The good thing is: it can't get worse *rolleyes*. But hey, look who's talking, i hardly duffer anymore... *sigh* well i know that it will be better someday and then we will rule the forum forever and ever and ever and ever *inside joke* :p.

So the elections are coming in 4 days, I LOVE IT! I'm really into politics, and i think that the party i would vote for if i was old enough is going to get more votes this time :D. So, i'll tell you how it ends.

Another thing, we are going to move :D It's sure now!!!

Hello there,

After working really hard this week it is finally over!!! YAYAYAYAY!!! I'm tired, but really happy about it, especially since i know that i don't have that much urgent things to do next week :D.

I have to play at a church tomorrow, and i'm nervous... Like really nervous, i hope things will go alright, but i doubt it... and i hate when that happends.

Today was nice, i went to look at the university, at the study economics, it wasn't bad, not great also. After that i did my job (getting letters to the right address), and this night i had a party. My friend's birthday was yesterday, and we (me and some other friends) gave her an "i'm with stupid" T-shirt... unfortunately it pointed to me :p.

Me and Mrs. Gil Galad Took (TDL) discussed Dutch politics yesterday and today, and it was fun, a good conversation with someone who i could talk to while not agreeing completely. That doesn't happen that often. I also got a really nice pm from a friend who left.

We should be starting Mafia (game four) again today, but i don't have the energy to do it now, so i'll do it tomorrow. I never realized it took so much time, but well... it's nice when it's set up. Maybe i will let someone else host it in game five.

Hello there,

Not updated for a few days, i'm SOOOOOO busy, really, i'm at school for 7 hours a day, i have to travell to school and back home 1.5 hours a day, and i'm doing homework and studying for about 3 hours a day, or four. I don't get enough sleep...

But it will be over Saturday (when i have my friend's birthday, which will be so cool, 'cause i have a GREAT gift for her:D)

My computer is being REALLY weird at the moment... *goes to find out what's wrong* it's over now :D.

I just "adopted a pet" it's a panda bear, i know, it's all black, i just liked it this way.

And i'm a bit sad, two friend of mine on TDL left, one of them was a Dutchie (someone from The Netherlands) and one of them was made a Dutchie, because she was learning it. I'm really going to miss them, they were great friends...

Have to get back to work, see y'all :)

Hello there,

Today was not very special. When i woke up i had to hurry because i was late. I got my bike and went to school, and it was so cold. My legs were almost frozen when i arrived...
Then we had an hour physics, my teacher is a bit dumb, and he tried to explain some things, and strange enough i even got it :D.
After that i had two hours off, in which i did some homework, not very much, some math.
Then i had an hour Math (which was cool, because i understand it :D ) and after that computer classes (which i hate!!!). Then i had chemistry (we didn't actually had a lesson, my teacher told us about something that happened before autumn break, and i won't repeat it here). Then another hour off, and after that ANW, which is something like the basics of physics and chemistry (VERY VERY BORING!). We had to give a presentation, and we held one about the creation story of the old Greeks. Not very interesting, but i liked to do it, because my friend was practicing it the hour before ANW and it was so funny (tears were all over my face from laughing :D ).

After that i went home (it was already 3.30 pm) and i knew that when i came home i had to go to the dentist. But i didn't have to, because the appointment turned out to be early, and i wasn't home yet, YAY :D.

Now i'm typing this. I just let one game of online Mafia end (on the forum of my class) and the murderers lost... very bad :p. The online Mafia game on TDL is going quite well, it is currently day five, and people have to vote, it is very interesting...

Well, time to go, i have to do some stuff ;)

Hello there,

I HAVE PROBABLY FOUND A LANGUAGE SCHOOL!!!!! I'm so happy, it's in the UK, and i'm going there for 15 days, learning English.

Besides that, today i worked on some school assignments. And i've been on the forum (The Dancing Lawn) a lot. I'm the host of an online Mafia game, and i like it very much. We are currently playing game thee, and there is a lot confusion, people still don't know who to vote for, mhuahahahahaha :D . Besides that, Queen Swantwhite made me a beautifull banner with Elrond in it.

Does any of you know Garfield, the big fat orange kat? I do, and i love it, the sarcasm and cynism, really it is great! You can view some comics here: click

Hello there,

I'm lucky, today is "dankdag" which you could translate as "Thanksgiving" but it's not quite the same, the day is not such a big day, and only Christians (which i am) celebrate it. I like not going to school, but i'm working on some school assignments. I made tests recently and i made Math and Science very bad, so i'm doing those over again, hopefully they will go better this time.

Also i'm searching for an English language school. My English writing is about 10 times as good as my English pronoucation, so the pronoucation is bad. I'm looking for a junior course in the summer of 2006 in the United Kingdom. So if any of you happen to know a course, you can always give a comment ;).

Rest of the day: i'm going to church this evening, about 7.30 pm i think. I'm going to look furthur for a language school, and i'm trying to make some things for school.

Maybe i'll update tonight, if i have time :)

Hello there, welcome to my new blog. Most of you don't know me, and some of you might recognize me from The Dancing Lawn (which is the forum of NarniaFans.com). But for those of you that don't know me, i will give you a short look in my life.

My real name is Lieke, which sounds really strange in almost every country, except here. I live in The Netherlands (a small country between the UK, Germany and Belgium). I'm fifteen years old (turning 16 in February). I'm in 11th grade in your school system (at least, when you're from the USA, if you are not then i don't know ;) ). I have this year and after that one year before my exams, but i already have to work on them, which i do.

I have a lot of hobbies. First: i love the computer, and being on it. I love forums, and like The Dancing Lawn very much, i've been a member there for over two years now. I also post on the forum of my school, on which i moderate a part. I also love to create forums, which i do sometimes, not because i put them on the internet, but because i love to figure out how to do everything ;).

Besides that: i love to read, i'm like C.S. Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia" very much, as well as J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings". Other favorite writers of mine are Jules Verne and Adrian Plass.

I also like to watch movies, i am (of course) a fan of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", and also of "The Lord of the Rings" all three the movies. I love "Finding Neverland" and "Peter Pan", "Pirates of the Caribbean" 1 & 2, "Chocolat", "A Beautiful Mind" and a lot more. Basically you can say that i am a fantasy and Science Fiction fan.
I like my school, i have some great friends, and i can't imagine life without them.
My family is also great, we fight sometimes, but it always works out :)

Well, i think that is enough about me, tell me about you? (wait... this is a blog... this is supposed to be about me :o )

The reason i made this blog was this: i have a xanga, but didn't update it, the reason for that i don't know. I'm not good at such things. Also i didn't like some things there, so i decided to make a new one, this one. I named it "The Journey of Lieke", not because i'm traveling, but because life is a journey, and i'm traveling it, just as you all do.

I think that is it for now, i don't think anyone would read this, but this is a great place for me to tell what is happening in my life :)
